Christchurch City Council LIM reports explained
A LIM for a property in Christchurch city or on Banks Peninsula comes from Christchurch City Council. Selwyn and Waimakariri districts each have their own council.

Fees are for a residential property and include GST. Commercial properties cost more.
The council describes its delivery times as indicative.
Councils can change their fees, so check the council's own page before you order.
You can apply online or at a council Customer Service Hub. You can upgrade a standard application to fast track after you apply.
A Christchurch LIM includes the property file, the council's documents for the property. You can also order the property file on its own.
Christchurch City Council says its LIMs may include, beside what the law requires, Canterbury earthquake information about placards issued, land-use resource consents within 100 metres, swimming pool fence compliance, protected buildings and trees, and rubbish and recycling collection.
The council says a LIM may include details about flooding, liquefaction, coastal inundation or landslides, often from hazard reports it commissions for district-wide studies rather than for individual properties. It suggests asking a suitably qualified expert, such as an engineer, what natural hazard information may mean for a property.
Christchurch's planning rules are in the Christchurch District Plan.
