Fees are for a residential property and include GST. Commercial properties cost more.
Auckland Council adds 1.75% for card payments.
Councils can change their fees, so check the council's own page before you order.
If you can't apply online, Auckland Council's libraries with council services can help you apply.
The council emails a link to your LIM, and the link expires 28 days after the LIM is issued. After that, you'd need to order and pay for a new LIM.
Auckland Council says some third-party websites offer to apply for a LIM for you and may charge extra fees, and that it doesn't recommend or work with them.
Auckland Council says its LIMs may include natural hazard information such as erosion, subsidence or slippage, flooding and hazardous substances; stormwater and sewer drains; rates, including overdue rates; building, plumbing, drainage and resource consents; notices and orders; heritage listings; and safety placards from rapid building assessments after a state of emergency.
A property file is separate: it holds the council's documents for the property, such as consent documents. Auckland Council recommends ordering both.
Auckland's planning rules, including zones and overlays, are in the Auckland Unitary Plan.
